Discord has very strict measures for signing up and verifying via SMS. Sometimes you will be asked to verify with a phone number for no apparent reason, but it can also be caused by actions such as adding other Discord users shortly after registration, joining too many Discord servers in a short time period, reusing a browser session that was previously used on another account or a banned account, using an IP address that does not match the country of the phone number you are attempting to verify with, or using an IP address with a poor reputation such as a free VPN or TOR exit node.

What is a Ghost Block?

Step 1: Check Your IP Address

Step 2: Use a Fresh Browser Session

Discord links your browser session to your IP and browser fingerprint. If a previous attempt was flagged, your current browser session may carry that flag.

• Open a private or incognito window
• Clear cookies before attempting SMS verification
• Do not reuse a browser session from a previous failed attempt
• If you have switched to a US number and USA IP address, make sure you also open a completely fresh browser session to register or verify SMS on Discord

Step 3: Try a Different Phone Number

If the code still does not arrive after switching your IP and starting a fresh session, cancel your current order on SMSPool and request a new number. You will not be charged if no code was received.

Step 4: Wait and Retry

Your Account Has Been Quarantined

If your account has been quarantined, SMS verification may not work regardless of the number or IP you use.

Still Cannot Receive Any SMS Verification Codes

This means your account is completely blocked by Discord. You should register a new account in incognito using your mobile data and try verifying it with SMSPool by heading to the Order page and selecting a country and Discord as the service. How Long Does Discord SMS Verification Take?

It usually takes less than 20 seconds to receive your SMS verification code from Discord, although this can sometimes take up to two minutes.
