Shein SMS Verification Without Your Number

iPhone displaying the SHEIN shopping app logo on a wooden table

Shein requires phone number verification when their system flags your account as suspicious, typically when claiming new user coupons or logging in from an unusual location. You cannot use a free VoIP number from apps like Google Voice or TextNow as Shein will reject them. We provide real, non-VoIP numbers that pass Shein's SMS verification.

What is Shein?

Shein is one of the largest global online retail companies that primarily focus on fast fashion. They do not operate through physical stores or intermediaries, but instead, they link consumers directly to a vast network of clothing manufacturers.

The key to the platform's popularity lies in their production approach. By eliminating traditional retail outlets and making fashionable items only upon the demand, they maintain their expenses at a very minimal level. This means, you can purchase outfits and accessories at a cost that is only a small portion of what you would pay in a regular shopping center, turning it into a real treasure for those who love fashion but have a limited budget.

A Brief History of Shein

Shein's origin story goes back to 2008. In a city called Nanjing, China, Chris Xu, a young entrepreneur, launched the company. However, at that time, the company was nothing like what it is now. In fact, to start with, it was just a wedding dress site for brides overseas.

As time went on, Chris Xu and his team realized that the way consumers shopped was changing dramatically. Normal shoppers were looking for fashionable, low cost clothing and also wanted to get factory prices directly, without having to wait for the traditional mall brands to follow the latest styles.

Therefore, they took the business in a different direction. They developed a super efficient supply chain that could quickly react to a clothing demand, even if it was only for a small quantity and the trend was the one from the same week. Fast forward to today, and that smart pivot turned Shein into a multi billion dollar fashion giant that ships to over 150 countries and potentially more in the near future.

Is Shein Legit and Safe to Use?

This question is typically the very first one people ask even before downloading the app. The brief answer is that Shein is indeed a legitimate company.

Nevertheless, since the products are extremely cheap, the quality, and size may occasionally be somewhat like a lottery depending on what you buy. Luckily, they have an excellent return policy and a Buyer Protection system. If your outfits arrive damaged, get lost during delivery, or look completely different from the photos, you can simply initiate a return through their app or raise a dispute with customer service to get your refund.

Free Coupons via their Referral Program

If cost is an issue, you're going to want to be well versed in the Shein referral system before you make your first purchase.

When a friend shares their unique link with you, you'll receive a nice hefty discount on your initial order. After registration, you can share your personal code with friends to get points and vouchers, which is a super simple way to reduce the price of your next shopping sprees.

Do You Need a Phone Number for Shein?

In theory, you can just start browsing online and open a simple Shein account by using only an email address. However, there is a downside. Shein implements a very stringent anti fraud mechanism.

Typically, if you are going to get those large new user discount coupons, or if the system suspects that your account is behaving unusually, it will immediately lock you out. Before you can actually check out or use your coupons, it will require you to verify your identity by a phone number.

Most shoppers dislike this because disclosing your real phone number almost always results in promotional text spam and privacy concerns. If Shein compels you to perform an SMS verification, our temporary and long term mobile carrier numbers are at your disposal for passing SMS verification.

Why Free Virtual Numbers Frequently Don't Work

Shein's verification system checks whether a number belongs to a real mobile carrier before accepting it. Free VoIP numbers from apps like Google Voice or TextNow are routed over the internet rather than a physical network, and Shein's system will reject them. Our numbers come from real SIM cards on actual carrier networks, which is exactly what Shein is looking for.

How to Sign Up for Shein

Here is a step-by-step guide to registering your account and passing verification securely using a temporary number:

Create an SMSPool account or log in to your SMSPool account

Head over to SMSPool.net to register or log in. The process is super fast, and you do not need an email to sign up.

Deposit funds on SMSPool

Once you have logged in, go to the Deposit page to add credit to your balance (the recommended deposit is at least $3 if paying by card). This is more than enough for the cost of the number and leaves you with a backup balance if you need it later.

Start the Shein Account Registration

Navigate to Shein.com on your web browser. Click the "Sign up" button on the top right of the Shein homepage. Enter your email address and create a password. If their security system flags your new account, you will be prompted to verify your phone number and be taken to a "Verify your phone number" page.

Navigate to the SMSPool Order Page

Go to the Order Page. This is where you will select the specific number you will need for the Shein SMS verification.

Select your country on SMSPool

Choose the country that corresponds to your current IP address or physical location. For example, if you are browsing from the UK, you will need to select the United Kingdom. Matching your IP location to the country of the number is crucial for a successful SMS verification.

Choose "Shein" as the service

In the service dropdown menu, search for and select "Shein". This will guarantee that you are purchasing a phone number that will receive SMS verification codes from Shein.

Purchase the phone number on SMSPool

Click the "Quick Purchase" button. The system will then generate a temporary number for you to use on Shein straight away.

Copy the full phone number

Click the remaining numbers next to the country code (e.g., 44) to copy the full phone number to your clipboard.

Input your purchased phone number into Shein

Input the phone number you have ordered into Shein. You can manually type it or use the copy method from the previous step.

Verify your Shein Account

Shein will send a verification code to your number. Switch back to the SMSPool Order Page. You should now see the SMS appear on this page if it was successfully received. Enter this code on Shein to complete your verification and verify your account!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a Google Voice number for Shein? No. Google Voice is a VoIP service and Shein will detect and block it during verification. You need a non-VoIP number tied to a real SIM card, which is what we provide.

Will Shein know I am using a virtual number? Not if you use a non-VoIP number like ours. Our numbers come from real mobile carriers and appear identical to a standard SIM card on Shein's systems. Free VoIP apps like TextNow will get flagged straight away.

How much does Shein SMS verification cost on SMSPool? Shein numbers start from a few cents, depending on the country. You only pay if the verification code is successfully received. If it does not arrive, the order is automatically refunded to your balance.

What if the Shein verification code does not arrive? The order will be automatically cancelled and refunded to your account. You can then try a different number or switch to a country with a better delivery rate for Shein.

Can I register multiple Shein accounts with SMSPool? Yes. You will need a separate number for each account, as each can only be used once for registration. Shein may still flag accounts sharing the same device or IP address, so use different devices or a residential proxy if you are registering more than one account.

Is it legal to use a virtual number for Shein? Using a virtual phone number for registration is legal in most jurisdictions, including the UK, US, EU, and Australia. Protecting your privacy is a legitimate reason to avoid handing your personal mobile number to a retailer.

This is not legal advice and does not cover fraud or any other illegal activity.

What countries does SMSPool support for Shein? We offer Shein numbers across many countries, including the UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, India, and more. Pick the country that matches your IP address location for the best success rate.

Can I use the same SMSPool number for multiple verifications? It depends on the number. Most of our numbers can receive codes more than once if they are still within our system. USA Foxtrot numbers can stay active for up to 3 to 5 days, although this is not guaranteed. You can find out more about how this works on our reuse a phone number guide.

Why is Shein asking for my phone number when I already have an account? Shein's fraud detection can trigger a verification prompt on existing accounts if your login behaviour changes or your account is flagged as suspicious. This can happen more than once, particularly if your IP location changes. A number from us will get you through the check each time it appears.

Do I need to keep the number after verifying? No. Our numbers are temporary and are only needed to receive the one-time code. Once your Shein account is verified, you do not need it anymore. However, Shein can prompt you again if your IP location looks suspicious, such as logging in from a different country. If you want to avoid this, use an IP in a similar location or purchase a long-term rental to keep the same number active for weeks or months.
